Often confused with similar looking figures from the Fon & Congo, these Sigidi are created using only positive energy. Their origination can be plotted more than 1000 years ago as reference to them appeared in the Sacred Odu, or " Bible" of the Yoruba culture. They were used to frighten away Death, Disease, Court Case and Negative Energy. Consecrated the same way the larger ones are. This figure stands about 9" tall and can be placed inside your apartment, home or office and defend and protect you from any negative forces entering. We use these smaller Sigidi for children that have bad dreams...placing one in the window (due to it's thinness it fits perfectly) of their bedroom (very effective)!  This size can travel along with you in the car...some women take one in their briefcase to the office...protecting them to and from as well as from those in the office that are challenging!  One sits on my desk!  There are so many incredible stories people have shared with us over the years.  This particular carving has a hole in the arm for a porcupine quill to set into.
