The mixture of these two cultures, historically known as Maroons, created a unique blending of Native American spirituality and the ancient spirituality of the escaped African slaves. Our very private lake is home for many of Florida's exotic water birds as well as turtles and fish. The teaching house sits up on stilts overlooking the lake and gardens.

Gazebos are located on the waters edge and allow you to enjoy Nature with protection from the sun. The trails throughout bring you to special places to sit and contemplate.
